What are cookies?

#

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website you visit. Similar storage technologies — such as localStorage, sessionStorage and pixel tags — perform comparable functions. This policy refers to all such technologies as "cookies" for convenience.

Cookies on the marketing website

#

The verinex.dev marketing website is designed to function without setting non-essential cookies. As of the date of this document, the marketing website does not deliberately set advertising, cross-site tracking or analytics cookies. It may set strictly necessary storage required for the site to function, such as short-lived preference values for interface state.

Note

If a future release introduces analytics or measurement cookies, this policy will be updated in advance and, where required, appropriate consent will be requested.

Storage in the Verinex Console

#

The Verinex Console at console.verinex.dev uses cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to provide the service to Authorised Users, including:

  • authentication and session management;
  • preservation of interface state (for example, layout or sidebar preferences);
  • security controls such as CSRF protection and rate-limit indicators.

These are considered strictly necessary for the operation of the Console requested by the Authorised User and do not require consent under the ePrivacy rules.

Third-party cookies

#

As of the date of this document, no third-party advertising or analytics cookies are intentionally loaded on the marketing website. If embedded third-party content (for example, from a video host) is introduced in the future and would set cookies, this policy will describe those cookies and, where required, ask for consent before loading them.

Legal basis and consent

#

Strictly necessary cookies are stored on the basis that they are required for a service explicitly requested by you. Where a future non-essential cookie is introduced, we will rely on your consent under the ePrivacy rules, obtained through a clear opt-in mechanism.

Your choices

#

On your first visit to verinex.dev a consent dialog asks you to accept all categories, reject non-essential categories, or manage individual categories. Strictly necessary storage is always on and cannot be switched off; analytics and marketing categories remain disabled unless you opt in. Your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage under the key verinex.consent.v1 so the dialog does not reappear on each page load. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings — for example, by blocking or deleting cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Console to stop functioning. See aboutcookies.org for general guidance on managing cookies in common browsers.

Changes to this policy

#

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The current version and its effective date are shown at the top of this page and recorded in the Legal change log.
